Hawthorn-Melbourne has been providing English language programs to international students since 1986. Today it is one of Australia’s oldest and largest English centres and maintains a reputation as one of the country’s premier English schools based on the quality of its teaching, curriculum, support services and facilities.

The centre specialises in preparing students for further study in Australia. It has become an established pathway for international students to the University of Melbourne, and other tertiary institutions and high schools, through its range of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programs. More than half of Hawthorn-Melbourne’s students remain in Australia to pursue further studies after completing their English training.

Hawthorn-Melbourne also provides a full range of general and specialist English programs for students who want to develop their English skills for other personal or career goals. It is also an award-winning IELTS testing facility. Tests are held regularly on the campus throughout the year.
